Exercises for ur brainAnyways for those lookin to play creativity games to get u goin here are sum of the stuff we did in my class.
1. Choose 3 pieces of art (from fieldtrip) and draw/write about it
2. Write about a stranger we saw during fieldtrip
3. Make a clay sculpture of the stranger
4. Use colors and draw anything
5. Use 3 colors and 3 images and draw a journey u made
6. Draw a mask tht reflects ur personality ( didnt like this one)
7. Make a wire sculpture
8. Write about an object thts is important to you (dont need to use similes bt i didnt know how else to describe). I couldnt think of what specific object so i thought about how i like to write letters to ppl and then decided on my pen. ( i put it in the gallery)
9. Use 2 random words and make a sentence with a simile so that they relate to each other Eg. " A CLOUD is like an ASHTRAY because of the intangible mists of smoke tht slips through your fingers".
10. Word Associations pick a word and write down 10 other words that come to your mind. eg. CABBAGE: crunchy, salad, vegetables, green, chinese food, spring rolls, garden soil etc.
It doesnt have to make sense so be truthful and write whatever tht comes up.
11.Use similes and all senses to describe emotions and write them in shapes ( in gallery)
12. Gave us a poem in Gaelic which no-one understood and told us to translate it. The only thing was that he put the word FEAR on the page. So everyone started to write about fear and some of us didnt. (in gallery)
